Modern Structures / Building Forms

The structural features of steel, concrete and other modern building materials have enable new and different formal amenities for architecture. They are;

  • Rectilinear Structures: A building or façade composed from a series of vertical and horizontal elements.
  • Irregular Fenestration: An unevenly spaced arrangement of windows, often of different sizes.
  • Crystalline: Three-dimensional structures in which identical or very similarly shaped units are repeated.
  • Projection: A projection supported solely at one end, with no supporting piers underneath.
  • Batter: An inclined wall face, sloping towards to top.
  • Cant: A wall face angled less than 90 degrees from the façade surface.
  • Deconstructivist: An appearance characterized by vehemently non-rectilinear forms and the juxtaposition of divergent and often angular components.
  • Curvilinear: A building whose shape is composed from one or more curved surfaces rather than a series of planes.
  • Undulating: A building whose shape is composed from intersecting convex and concave curves, creating a wave-like form.
  • Amorphous: An irregularly shaped building that has no easily definable form.

PREJURY 1

After an exciting jury like always, Hello. I tried to combine and to work together the relations which I took from Villa Malaparte and Villa Savoie. When I design my work, some things are overlooked. When I finished my model, I realize that there are Villa Savoie, there is Villa Malaparte and I glue these houses, although I think very deeply. Firstly I prepared two poster to show my relation and references where I took from and some sketches to understand houses.

After that I researched about circulation Technics in houses and using different ramps also I sketch about them. Also I researched about design and sketch.

Furthermore I draw my changing period of plan of my design and I draw some diagrams about my design to represent the model clearly.

Here is my model of design.
