Ornament and Crime

We read an article which is the ornamet and crime whose Adolf LOOS. He generally mention about needlessness of ornament because he thought that ornament is transient, also with the impact of time ornament can be lost.Furthermore through the history, people who use the ornament in structures couldnot receive a recompense for one’s work. Moreover with using ornament, the potantial of elements can be lost.

People who at 2 sees with the eyes of Papuan. Papuan can kills their enemies and eats them. According to Papuans, this situation is normal but in modern world, it is criminal or degenerate. Also the Papuan tattoo their skin and he is not a criminal but in modern world, people who are tattoed look like a potential guilty from other people.

We drew this ortographic drawing in 4 hours according to 1/200 scale of Barcelona Pavilion  House. Also My teachers wanted to drawing of axonometric projection of this house according to this ortographic plan. Although I wanted to draw quickly, I couldnot draw axonometric drawing.

Space and Structure

The media of architecture are space and structure. They are always related each other. There are three expansive relations which are the dominant structural order, the dominant spatial order and the harmonic relationship between two.

The Greek Architects developed the theatric places with good illustration. The classic Greek amphitheatre based on geometry. Generally Greek Architects used rectangular planes which are space but with this way they couldnot achieve large spans.

From the start of architecture, a lot of works have been constituted a conviction which structure is the central form-giving force in architecture. The geometric order essential in resolved structure is the most convenient order for space too.

Some architects have tried to isolated structural order from spatial organisation and place making. For example Kocher and Frey house based on Le Corbusier idea which is ‘Dom-Ino’. Le Corbusier desingned a number of houses using this idea. Furthermore Mis van der Rohe experimented from structural order.

Firstly we read Pure Creation of Mind and we choose some key-words from the text. After that we compound a abstract picture which can be chosen by us and keywords.

The using Regulating Lines in Constructions.

The regulating line is an inevitable element which is necessity for order. Primitive man created unit then unity according to geometrical measurement. The hut which is constructed by primitive man is occured with based square, hexagon or octagon and rectangle whose four angles are equal.This construct soul of Pompeian house also indeed Temple of Luxor.
